Nissan Sunny

I have a very old car at home. Her name is Sunny and she's 25 years old. For a car this old it is still running smoothly! I came back from UK and gave a run at Sunny. My sis doesn't really like to drive her unless there's no choice since my old Sunny is a manual car and the outside was covered with some battle scars. So, the car was not driven much and was covered with dust. Not to mention, there's spider webs all around and lizard droppings on the car!!! I kinda had to take the broom and sweep the car, literally! lol!

Sunny and I speed along the highway of Kolombong yesterday! (Some of my friends know how fond I am of speeding, I beat many of my guy friends at informal races :X). I wowed at her engine. My mom definitely did something to maintain it :3 As long as it is running smoothly I'm alright with driving her :) I think I am used to hearing the sound of her engine humming when I drive on smooth lane and love her roar when she accelerates.  

The hardness of this car actually saved my life once! There was once where a Kancil speed out of no where while I was driving slowly in a small lane. It hit Sunny's side. The front part of that Kancil was gone! Sunny's driver seat door was amazingly hard and it was able to withstand the impact so here I am  now, alive and fine! ^-^

So when the new Nissan Sunny (ALMERA) came out, I was actually very interested! It must have Sunny's legacy! But I had emotional bond with my old Sunny so I might not change it that soon. But here's some picture of the new generation of Sunny!

Anyways, when I came across this article online criticizing old cars, I kinda felt offended for my Sunny :(

"After 10 years, they are as good as junk in many cases and that is one of the many reasons there are numerous accidents on Malaysian roads. Limit the life span of cars on the roads to 10 or 15 years. Malaysian cars (made in Malaysia) do not have the strength to survive beyond 10 years in reality. So do many of the foreign brands in the country. To make the car industry more vibrant, a 10 year limit on cars of a certain brand and make would be most welcomed as it would increase road safety."

Hmmph! Not my Sunny! She's still healthy and well! Most accidents are caused by reckless drivers! Not old cars :P And I think Nissan cars can definitely withstand long years!

Original Quote

I was talking to my sis the other day in church.... because the topic of the conversation, I told her

"Pride is the root of sin."

and she also thinks it was a great quote. And I told her that I came up with it :3

It's something I realized from analyzing things happening and why some people become who they are and why their actions are so sinful even though many of them are Christians. We fall, we are not perfect, we make mistakes. However, I do realise something which happens in lots of cases where the actions of sin came from. And then I realsied Mr.Satan loooooves to play on our PRIDE.

I originally just to put this quote on my skype because someone dear to me is a prideful person so it's to warn him. Some of my friends also notice this quote and told me during lectures that they thought it is true.

Pride brings forth unreasonable bad anger, desire to be better than others (desire for money / fame / material) and it prevents you from listening to others, especially God when he tries to reach you. Because of pride, you put yourself on top of everything. When you see others who are better at you or have things you wanted or just being happier than you, you will somehow feel some dislike towards that person's achievement and success. By not having what you see others have, it will bring forth envy. Envy, if not careful, will grow into hate. It will also cause unsatisfactory feeling inside you. Soon hate and / or disatisfaction will cause you to do reckless sinful things in life such as revenge, cheat, betray, steal, kill etc... name all the sins.

That's all I have to say. Sometimes knowledge is power. By knowing the consequences of sin and fearing them, you can prevent sin. So once you feel pride creeping inside you, tell yourself to think of only the good things. Tell yourself it's time to be humble ;)

Agape Love

I woke up in the middle of the night with a conscious to receive the answer I have been praying for.

It is something I felt important that I have to pen down so that I myself do not forget and where better place to keep reminding myself other than my blog where I can access anywhere?

First thing was about my current relationship aka my current love life. The true gifts that really matters should come from the Spirit. To compare what I have been receiving and to what the Holy Spirit can give-

Fruits of the Holy Spirit:
1) Love
2) Joy
3) Peace
4) Patience
5) Kindness
6) Goodness
7) Faithfulness
8) Gentleness
9) Self-control

I was lacking in receiving all these and I felt constantly not at peace. A true relationship should have these and I should not compromise in his weakness. I should share this with him. The high in monetary value or flashy romantic gifts does not matter anymore. This is the first answer given unto me.

Second was this, the direction I am heading. To not be affected and to have Agape Love.

I googled the meaning of Agape Love and wiki gave me this meaning:
"Agape" love in 1 Corinthians 13, it is sacrificial, demonstrated by Jesus' death on the cross, does not display itself haughtily. It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God's love in and for man) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong]. It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail. Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes do not fade under any circumstances, and it endures everything without weakening. [Love never becomes obsolete or comes to an end]. Love never fails."

The definition helps me to put myself back into the right mind. God knows what I have gone through and how I am feeling, how I keep telling Him how I feel and this is what I have to develop and receive the gift / ability to have Agape Love in the things I am facing because this is GOD's way and I should not follow my own way. So the distinction and doubts whether things just pop up my mind or was I doing things by my way was cleared.


And His command:
"And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love."  2 John 1:6

Now I am feeling so much transformation happening. The troubles I had were blessings in disguise to save me from lies and to give me the truth because I am after all God's beloved daughter. And the hardships I have faced and had to face some more in the future due to this problem will shape me to be the better person God wants me to be. After all He is a God who will make good things come out from bad things.

I have grown a lot these past few months, by force though I resented it but now I will tell myself it is okay, the suffering and everything brings me closer to God. However there is still the consequences I had to face, and by God's grace, not alone as He had opened my heart to his trusted servants whom will also be praying for me and gives me support when I can't seem to handle it.

And this is a message for people out there:
Confession is the step to recovery

I find it amazing how God speaks to us. As how Jesus once says, uh I don't really remember the full sentence but it was something like the reason He spoke in parables so that those who listens hear, but shall not understand, and seeing you shall see, and shall not perceive. My own understanding is that God speaks to us in various ways, it is then that God opens the mind and heart so one can understand Spiritual truth. Like a different message for different people only when your heart is opened to God and when you begin to build this relationship and connection with Him through Christ.

I was reading Yahoo news when I came across this!  I'll just highlight the important bits from the news for you all.

14 Gamblers visited New Jersey Casino (The Golden Nugget) and left with $1.5 million winnings collectively. 

They were winning from a card game where they slowly raised their bets from $10 until the maximum limit.

The area was flooded with floor persons, managers, supervisors, surveillance and security officers, believing they were watching "a sophisticated swindling and cheating scheme" in progress.

One of the gamblers was even awakened abruptly in his room at the casino where four Golden Nugget employees pinned him against the wall and searched him and his belongings, according to his lawsuit. He was held him in a room without food, water for 8 long hours. 

The casino investigated the case and soon realised it was due to unshuffled cards from their suppliers where they had specifically order shuffled cards!

Deterioration

Recently I feel like Yui when I'm doing my homework. It's because I don't know how to do it, don't know how to start and don't know how it should end that I don't feel like doing it.... and then I get distracted by myself! Heh, limited concentration just like Yui XD

And when I try to get back to my homework, I realised I've forgotten what are those complicated things that I've written in front...omigosh! I have such short memories like Yui too!

Changing a Regular Sim To a Micro Sim Card

Oh yay! Now you got your iphone 4s, you're ready to turn it on~! Okay, it's on! Apple phones actually contains battery when they are still new? How convenient! You get to play it immediately instead of waiting for a new phone to charge up!

Oh, now your phone ask you to insert sim card... 

I took out my sim card from my old HTC phone and tried to insert it into my iphone....

It doesn't fit?!?!?!?

I I I... want to play with it immediately T_T 

At a lost of direction, I ventured into the realm of database to consult with the Legendary Wise Google for solutions...

His answer was....

After acquiring the particular skill, I teleported back to my own world to solve my quest.

First I must acquire the correct materials!

Task 1: Collect a pair of scissors, a knife cutter, a ruler, and a mechanical pencil

I hope this lousy tutorial may help someone out there who can't wait to play with their iphone while forgetting to get a micro sim card to go with it. 

WARNING: Cut at your own RISK!

I think it's safer to get your normal sim card changed at your phone operator shop.

To be honest, I'm very scared to attempt it myself but I can't wait to use it! Plus the shop may charge me money for changing to a micro sim card (super stingy ^^").

For those who want to try cutting a normal sim card into the size of a micro sim card,

Surprise Present

A parcel arrived today!!!!!

Medium sized parcel. Hmm... it's from my bf. He did say he wanted to send me something, plus I've requested him to send me some cartridges for my printer.

The smell was very strong once I opened the tape, ugh! What's that smell?

Oh shoot! Something spilled inside! Seems like my bf sent me a bottle of 'mou san you' ointment! Ah seems like only 3% was spilled, nothing serious but boy was the smell STRONG!!! 

Just because I said I don't have any the other day he immediately sent me one~! Aww so considerate~ ♡

However I was frantic at that moment! The ointment was all over in the pink package! That's supposed to be my birthday gift right?!?!? *wipe wipe wipe*

OOOhhhh.... 

Getting excited to unwrap the present! I wonder what's inside? Why so small? *Shake shake*... hmm, quite heavy... it must be chocolates!!!! :D~ 

(Yes, unfortunately I think of food most of the time XD)

Early in the morning, my Pickles woke me up and surprised me with a birthday card~!

Aww... Little Miss Sunshine card~ 

She told me she's Little Miss Busy. She even showed me the clip on youtube about that character, lolz!  By the way, I call my sis Pickles and she calls me Mina-chan ^ ◡ ^

Birthday Breakfast! Nothing special but I enjoyed it :) There's some leftover sushi from the day before, peach, mango, scones, and chocolates!

Scones~~~These are really delicious! Pickles got it from somewhere that's really famous for it, I forgot the name already. It's nothing like the cheap supermarket ones that I'm so scared of XD

Actually today Pickles is supposed to bring me to Alton towers to play! It's a theme park nearby. But unfortunately, it rained T_T

So, during noon time I helped Pickles to clean her house. We also went Sainsbury's and Aldi to get  some ingredients for tomorrow. We even got lots of ice-creams! 

Later we went bowling with friends to make up for the Alton Tower...

By the way, I'm not a good bowler O_O" I think I'm going to embarrass myself >.<;

Ok, let's get the bowling game started~! Oh wait, what is this?

There were a lot of people that, perhaps it was a weekend? We were asked to wait 30 minutes which seem like an hour... We were given this while we wait, I'm so curious with this thing...

Beeper?

I got bored of the beeper and then set my eyes on this! Wowzers! It's a Harley Davidson! They use it as a decor? OMG

 After I got bored of the bike, I ran around looking at the interior design. The decorations were amazing! I had to take pictures of them! 

See~ Cool right!

 I ordered an OREO Milkshake! It was so delicious!

By the way, I took a photo of everyone's dish except mine! I forgot to take a picture of my super rib dish!!! D: Obviously I'm in a hurry to dig in! It was really a superb dinner! 

After we finished our meal, something happened.... Suddenly it was all a blur! I remembered something like one of the staff came up to me and asked me to stand up on the chair! O_O" In my head I was like 'Did I do something wrong? Why are you punishing me?' 

Turns out, the waiters at TGIF wanted to sing their special birthday song to me! And I was presented with the birthday cake! Although I was really embarrassed... I was really touched~ 

The service at TGIF is really good, the waiters are really polite and considerate. They still pay lots of attention to you even though the whole place was quite crowded!

What a wonderful celebration~!

BBQ time~!

My relatives came to celebrate my birthday with me at my sis' place. BBQ is really fun! Except it rained occasionally so we kept running in and out the house, lolz!

We did team up for Mario on Wii to exercise our fingers! LOLZ!

After my relatives and friends left, Pickles and I played Mario until midnight... It was so much fun! Then we chatted about games on the bed before we sleep... We reminiscent our young gaming times - we talked about Diablo I, II, and I told her how I was so sad I couldn't play III with my current laptop. She even remembered I was so fond of Icewind dale! Eventually the disc got faulty and I never finished the game, I kept re-playing it until it reaches the faulty part. Aww I miss that game now! I still remember I named those characters Xena, Gabriel, and Hercules! It's a game that plays with six characters which gets too confusing and the characters will run by themselves and get killed sometimes =.=

Thanks to my lovely sis who organised and planned everything for me to have a great birthday weekend!
